IBPS Releases Prelims Admit Cards for PO 2025: Candidates Gear Up for Upcoming Test
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially activated the admit card download for the Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination under its CRP-PO/MT-XV recruitment drive.
Starting August 14, 2025, aspirants can obtain their hall tickets from the IBPS website by using either their registration or roll number alongside their date of birth or password. These call letters hold essential details—from exam dates and centre locations to reporting times and shift schedules.
This year, the prelims are slated for August 17, 23, and 24, spanning multiple shifts to accommodate the large applicant pool. Once downloaded, candidates are encouraged to verify every detail carefully, including personal information, exam centre address, and exam timing. Any discrepancies should be promptly addressed via IBPS’s official grievance channels.
The prelims paper will be a one-hour, computer-based test, featuring sections on English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability—totaling 100 marks. As per the revised structure, Quantitative Aptitude has been scaled down in weightage.
Looking ahead, successful candidates will move on to the Mains examination, tentatively scheduled for October 12, 2025. The preliminary screening is the first critical hurdle in the three-tier selection process, which ultimately leads to interviews and final placement.
IBPS has also rolled out the admit cards for Pre-Examination Training (PET), aimed at SC/ST/OBC, Minority, and PwBD candidates, enabling them to acclimate to the exam environment. These were released earlier this month, covering training that runs from mid-August.
With exam day drawing near, here’s what candidates should keep in mind:
- Download and double-check your admit card without delay. Ensure your name, photo, exam centre, date, reporting time, and shift are all accurately mentioned.
- Plan your travel in advance—know the location, take note of traffic or public transport schedules, and aim to arrive at least 30 minutes before your reporting time.
- Remember to carry a printed copy of the admit card, a valid photo ID, and any additional documents (like scribe declarations if applicable) as specified on the hall ticket.
- Stick to the instructions printed on the admit card, such as guidelines around stationery, electronic devices, and conduct, to ensure a smooth entry into the exam hall.
Candidates are advised to stay vigilant for any further updates on the IBPS portal, including queries about exam centre changes or last-minute notifications.
Best of luck to all appearing for the IBPS PO Prelims!
