In Greater Noida’s Sirsa village, a horrific case of dowry violence has shocked the nation. A woman named Nikki, who had been married since 2016, was allegedly tortured and then set on fire by her husband and in-laws after repeated harassment for money.

From Lavish Gifts to Cruelty

At the time of marriage, Nikki’s family had provided expensive gifts to the groom’s side, including a Scorpio SUV, a Royal Enfield motorcycle, gold ornaments, and cash. Despite this, her in-laws continued to demand more. According to her family, the harassment escalated over the years, with the husband demanding an additional ₹36 lakh.

Unable to fulfill this demand, Nikki was subjected to sustained torture. Her family revealed that she was often beaten and humiliated, and her married life had become a cycle of cruelty and greed.

On the night of the incident, Nikki’s worst fears came true. She was allegedly beaten by her husband, doused in a flammable liquid, and set ablaze.
